Operation Strike Back II Begins

A joint operation called Opeeration Strike Back II between the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) has started.

It began on Republic Day – September 24 – and will continue for the five months.

According to the TTPS, it will deal specifically with certain Divisions in which statistics, intelligence and information show are prone to gang activity.

“Joint operations will continue to be conducted nationwide on a 24-hour basis, specifically in areas which are prone to gang activity.”

Minister of National Stuart Young, Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith and Air Commodore Darryl Daniel and other law enforcement officials visited the Northern and Western Police Divisions on Friday as part of the operation.
